50 Values Tournament: Elite 8 Ethics
#50Values Tournament Elite 8 Ethics
Today is the start of Round 3 of the #50 Values Tournament that we started here on the Values Storying blog two weeks ago. We started with 50 commonly valued ethics and have been working our way toward this community’s most treasured value, the one my readers would most want to be able to pass along to the next generation.
Round 2 Results
The winner of each pool advanced to this week’s Elite 8 Ethics round, along with the values with the next two highest vote totals–the wild cards (WC).
- Love (1)
Endurance Appreciation Passion
- Integrity (1)
Resolve Responsibility Courage
- Faith (1)
- Family (1)
Dependability Empathy Respect
- Faithfulness (WC)
- Wisdom (1)
- Commitment (1)
- Obedience (WC)
Note: One value received unanimous support. In order not to try to sway the vote in the next round, I won’t say which one, but I was surprised there was just one core value that received every participant’s vote.
Elite 8 Ethics
Voting for this round is simple. Four one-on-one match-ups will determine which values move on to the Final Four. Remember, voting for one value does not indicate that another value is not important. The purpose is the prioritize the values that we want to pass along to the next generation.
Happy voting. I’ll see you back here next week to let you know the winners of the Elite 8 Ethics round of the 50 Values Tournament. Thanks for your participation in the conversation.
